Pam Vick

Non-Executive Director and Chair

Pam joined the Ovation board as Chair in March 2025.

She is an experienced non-exec director and commercial business development consultant, after a corporate career including European Marketing Director at Hertz.

She is an active Ambassador for Women on Boards UK and one of Boardroom Advisors’ most experienced Advisors, an organisation that provides part-time CEOs, exec directors and NEDs internationally.

Pam’s other NED roles mainly relate to organisations with a social purpose and include IMPRESS, the independent news media regulator and Energy & Utility Skills Group, working to deliver the clean energy workforce for the future through government supported training and workforce recruitment programmes.

She is also a Trustee of The British Ecological Society. Pam also sits on an Advisory Board for the charity DEBRA

Outside work

Outside work, Pam is a massive live music fan (mainly rock), although she has no musical ability whatsoever herself. She is also a foodie and loves trying new restaurants and cuisines but can’t cook to save her life. She enjoys watching cricket and rugby and is also the proud owner of a classic 1978 Porsche.

Where can we find you on an ideal weekend?

At a gig or sporting event ideally, or at a restaurant with friends. In the summer, in Mallorca.

What makes you laugh?

Kids and the things they come out with. Bill Bailey.

What makes you cry?

Weepie films, especially where animals are involved.

Who would you most like to have round for dinner?

Bill Bailey, Keith Richards, Mike Tindall, Phil Tufnell, Sir Alex Ferguson…..

What’s your favourite song to sing along to in the car?

You really don’t want to hear me sing.

What was the first album you ever bought?

So long ago I can’t remember.

What was the best gig/concert you’ve ever been to?

Impossible to choose I’ve been to so many amazing ones.

What’s your pet peeve?

Selfishness.

If you could turn any activity into an Olympic sport, what would you win gold for?

Dancing enthusiastically but not necessarily well.

When the dessert menu arrives, what are you looking for?

Cheese.

What’s the one thing you’d like to do before you die?

Make a difference.
