Executive PA

Originally from Sheffield, Melanie moved to Bristol from London. She spent 17 years working for Citibank Private Bank as a Relationship Manager, looking after high net worth clients in East Africa, a role which took her on interesting marketing trips and taught her a lot about people and the world.

Here at Ovation, Melanie helps to deliver the best possible service to our clients. She loves being part of the team here, and our collective commitment to caring for our clients and their unique and varied needs.

Outside work

Melanie lives with her family and their dog.

In her spare time, she loves cooking, walking, gardening, silversmithing, keeping up with current affairs and playing parlour games.

November 2006.

Where can we find you on an ideal weekend?

Taking a gruelling hike in the Peak District (colder, wetter and windier the better), followed by dinner with lots of good food, wine, family and friends.

What makes you laugh?

Parlour games – the dafter the better.

What makes you cry?

Tree pollen.

Who would you most like to have round for dinner?

Graham Norton, Kenneth Clarke, my Dad, and Sir Titus Salt.

What’s your favourite song to sing along to in the car?

September by Earth, Wind & Fire.

What was the first album you ever bought?

Lexicon of Love by ABC.

What was the best gig/concert you’ve ever been to?

Bruce Springsteen, Wembley Stadium.

What’s your pet peeve?

The squirrels that eat my goldfinch’s sunflower hearts.

If you could turn any activity into an Olympic sport, what would you win gold for?

Vacuuming.

When the dessert menu arrives, what are you looking for?

The cheese.

What’s the one thing you’d like to do before you die?

Perform as a backing vocalist with Nile Rodgers on a world tour.
