David: Being aware of our finances and being in control of them actually means freedom. You don’t wake up in the morning worrying about the bills, whether you can afford your lifestyle; you actually have the confidence to go out and live your life.

We’d both worked for a long time and we didn’t really know where we stood financially.

Lesley: We knew we had some pensions here, there and everywhere, but we didn’t know what that meant in terms of lifestyle.

David: We sat down with Ovation and that’s when they asked us the question again: what do you want to do? And the answer was, well, we want to get the campervan and go travelling. But we don’t know if we can afford to do that.

We went through the process of understanding: this is where you were, but this is where you are now – can you afford to do what you want to do? And the answer was yes, you can. So, yes, we did!

The folk at Ovation are very friendly, very understandable. Behind that, you can tell there is a wealth of knowledge and experience. Our experience of working with Ovation has been 100% positive. They’ve helped us every step of the way, and I really would recommend them.

Lesley: This is the lifestyle we’ve always dreamt about. Not having to work; waking up on Monday morning and we’re in the middle of Spain; just having the freedom to do what we want to do and go where we want to go.

My advice to somebody thinking about working with Ovation is just do it! Knowledge is power. The more that you know about your finances, the more secure you are, and the more secure you are in your lifestyle.
