As Ovation celebrates 25 years, we’re also turning the page into an exciting new chapter.
From 1st September, Tom Morris becomes our new Managing Director (MD). Many of you know Tom already — as your Financial Planner, as co-host of The Financial Wellbeing Podcast, and as someone recognised nationally as Financial Wellbeing Champion of the Year multiple times. After more than a decade with Ovation and six years as a Director on the Board, Tom is ready to lead us into the next chapter.
Tom says:
“I feel privileged to be taking on the role of MD, especially as we celebrate 25 years of Ovation. Adrian has built strong foundations and I’m excited to help guide our next steps. Financial wellbeing has always been at the heart of what we do, and I’m looking forward to leading Ovation as we continue to help clients be happier not just wealthier.”
This new role for Tom means a change for Adrian Kidd, who is stepping aside after eight years as MD. Adrian has steered Ovation through landmark achievements: becoming employee owned, gaining B Corp certification, winning national awards and keeping financial wellbeing at the centre of everything we do.
Adrian reflects:
“Leave it better than you found it. That’s been my quiet aim as MD. We became employee owned. We became a B Corp. We’ve won awards. But most of all, I’m proud of the people. Every person who has been part of Ovation has shaped what we’ve become, and I hope we’ve helped them grow too. The best sign of that? Watching Tom, who joined us over a decade ago, step up to lead the next chapter. Ovation is in great hands.”
The good news is you’ll still see plenty of Adrian. He will continue as a Director and Financial Planner, with a growing focus on how technology and AI can help make financial planning more human — creating more space for conversations and connections.
We’d like to take this opportunity to thank Adrian for all of his hard work and brilliant leadership. We’re excited about him continuing to be a key part of the team.
Day to day, not much will change. Our management team already works hand-in-hand, and both Adrian and Tom will continue to be active in Ovation’s future. Most of all, we feel grateful. To have reached 25 years. To have such a strong team. And to be sharing the journey with you, our clients and friends.
We look forward to celebrating together at our 25th anniversary party on 9th October — which will also be Tom’s first event as MD.
