Financial Planner
Growing up Christiaan lived all around the world, from the US to Egypt and Israel. He then came to Bristol for University and, luck for Ovation, didn’t leave!
Having worked in financial services for 13 years now, Christiaan started his career as a graduate with Santander retail banking and before joining Ovation, was a Mortgage and Protection Adviser. He frequently shares his financial expertise in the Ovation blog – click on this link to have a read.
As a financial planner Christiaan’s priority is to listen to clients before “talking life first”, then help them achieve their goals in every way he can. He is a customer service fan with an innate desire to help, he loves working here at Ovation as we fit perfectly with his values – where the focus is on individuals and wellbeing as a priority.
Christiaan is a member of “Next Gen Planners”, a community for financial planning professionals which aims to continue to develop the profession ensuring that it is client focused. He is also on the Education and Nxt Gen committees within the Bristol Chartered Insurance Institute.
Outside work
Outside of work Christiaan likes to keep active, whether that’s a long walk with his dog, Riley the Rhodesian Ridgeback, or going to the gym. When possible, a ski trip is booked each year, but when at home and the sun is shining Christiaan enjoys a round of golf (although he is trying to make the sun less of a pre-requisite so that he can play more!)
If he can’t be on the golf course, Christiaan enjoys a ride on his motorbike or, as a foodie, can often be found in an interesting restaurant with his girlfriend and/or friends.
For a new challenge, Christiaan recently signed up for the Bristol Sprint Triathlon taking place in June 2023 – we wish him lots of luck!
