I’ve been working in financial services industry since graduating in 2015. During this time, I gained experience in both, client facing as well as back office roles. My first role at Hargreaves Lansdown gave me a lot of exposure to different forms of investments and products while my second role at Parmenion some really good insights into the platforms world.
As a Paraplanner at Ovation, I support our Financial Planners with report writing, research and analysis of investments and products such as pensions, bonds, trusts and protection. I’m also a member of Ovation’s Investment Committee, and I co-chair the Technical Committee with our other paraplanner, Paul.
I absolutely love paraplanning. There are always new developments to check out and there is always something new to learn so I never get bored. I also really enjoy working with the Ovation team. We are all really passionate about what we do and we work really hard, but we never forget to have fun along the way! I must say, this job wouldn’t be the same without our client either. We’ve built some really good long-term relationships with our clients, who we know really well and enjoy working with. Helping our clients to accumulate life not just wealth, makes this job a little bit more special.
When I’m not at work, I spent most of my time travelling, watching travel vlogs and planning my next holidays. I visited quite a few places already but the list of places I want to see somehow gets bigger and bigger. My favourite 3 places in the world so far are Vinales in Cuba, Cinque Terre in Italy and Interlaken in Switzerland. I really want to visit Iceland, Japan, Nepal, Norway…the list just doesn’t end!
On a more day to day basis I enjoy cycling, jogging, long walks and good gigs whenever possible. I’m very lucky I spent my 20s in a place like Bristol surrounded by beautiful landscapes and filled with so much music.
